I’m a single mother navigating the life of an AMC student at SLC.
When I first found out that I was pregnant, I thought my dreams of being a student and getting my diploma were all but gone. After taking two years to decide what school to go to, what program to take, and what supports I needed in place (and working through the fears and anxieties about being a single mother going to college), I made the decision to move forward with school.
It has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made (next to becoming a mother). I have enjoyed every second of being in class and learning. I have enjoyed the challenges of juggling school and being a mother, managing my own schedule and routine as well as my daughter’s.
Enough about me, though.
